Week 5: Pipe dreams
Filthy Franz cursed. Luck was not with the Averlanders. They had lost the race to find the Steward of the missing Marienburg warband but were giving chase to the ratmen who had forcefully abducted him. The ratmen had retreated to the sewers where the Averlanders were now lost and separated, and worse yet was the stench. However Franz could see daylight through an exit above him. He shouted at the top of his lungs hoping his missing men would follow the sound and find the exit.
Scenario: Sewer Chase
Overview
This scenario represents 2 warbands randomly emerging from the sewers to do battle.
Terrain
In an area that is roughly 4’ x 4’ each player can take it in turns to setup buildings.
Set-up
Players alternate placing sewer exits on the ground level of the board. Place 6 + D3 sewer exit tokens. Sewer exit tokens must be 10” or more from each other and 8” from a table edge.
Roll off to see who places first. The 1st player then sets up d3 warriors of his choice 1” from any sewer exit token of his choosing. The 2nd player then places d3 warriors of his choice 1” from any sewer exit of his choosing.
Reinforcements
From each player’s 2nd turn onwards, that player can roll for reinforcements. Roll on the following table to see who turns up from your warband. They can act normally for the turn.

Starting the game
The player who placed the first d3 warriors goes first.
Ending the game
The game ends when one warband fails its Rout test. Rout tests are taken when you suffer casualties equal to 25% of your total warband size (above ground and still in the sewer). If no models are on the board, take rout tests with the highest leadership of models still to emerge from the sewer.
Experience
+1 Survives. If a Hero or a Henchman group survives the battle they gain +1 Experience.
+1 Winning Leader. The leader of the winning warband gains +1 Experience.
+1 Per Enemy Out of Action. Any Hero earns +1 Experience for each enemy he puts out of action.
Rewards
No additional rewards.
